Q. What is the audio fidelity of tracks available at AudioSparx?
A. The AudioSparx site contains files in a variety of different audio fidelities:
- 48khz 24-bit stereo
- 44khz 16-bit stereo and mono
- 22khz 8-bit stereo and mono (less than 1% of site contents)
- 11khz 8-bit mono and 22khz 4-bit mono (less than 1% of site contents)
The AudioSparx.com site contains audio files from many different sources. We always use the best fidelity we can obtain. Unfortunately 48khz 24-bit stereo files are not always available, especially for sounds from older historical time periods. However, when downloading tracks from AudioSparx to your computer, all tracks are converted to a high-fidelity format so you get a high-quality file to work with on your computer.
